On Thursday, October 10, Miss Asia Brown officially ascended her throne as she was crowned Miss Texas College at her coronation in the historic Martin Hall Auditorium. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Asia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Brown. She is the youngest daughter of three.
Miss Brown is an alumna of Hooper Academy, where she was nominated Most Likely to Succeed and Most Athletic, as well as served as the Alabama State Representative for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, commonly referred to as D.A.R.E., for four consecutive years. Asia continues her efforts to support and inspire young people by being a voice and providing a listening ear to all who need it. Miss Brown holds herself to the highest standards of excellence, at times to a fault, as she is admittedly her biggest. Her unwavering pursuit to excel is fueled by her indefatigable work ethic, as evidenced by her achievements thus far.
Miss Asia Brown is a senior majoring in Biology. Upon completion of her degree at Texas College, Asia plans to further her education by attending medical school, with aspirations of entering the medical field, where her legacy will continue.
Miss Brown served as Texas College’s Miss UNCF for the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as a Student Ambassador, a proud member of the Texas College Choir, a leader in Texas College’s Pre-Alumni Council, and an active member of the Texas College Softball Team. In addition to the aforementioned, Miss Brown also served as the 2022-2023 Miss Sophomore, the 2021-2022 Miss Freshman, and crossed the 2022 Fall Line of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. She also served on the Delta Sigma Theta Leadership Board as President of Gamma Epsilon and received the award for “Social Action” and Heritage and Archives.
Asia spends the majority of her time on the campus of Texas College working toward the completion of her baccalaureate degree while supporting her school in every way that she can. She gives thanks to God for the opportunity to be crowned Miss Texas College and extends her sincerest gratitude to her family and friends for their support. Above all, Miss Brown continues to keep God first in everything that she does. Congratulations to Miss Asia Brown, Miss Texas College!
