QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, good communicative skills, and the ability to work well with others, respect confidentiality and maintain courtesy in dealing with students, faculty, staff and visitors. Computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Two to three years successful diversified office experience required. Typing skills a must. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the preparation of brochures, handbooks, campus publications, periodic statistical and/or progress reports, hand outs, other written materials, and/or coordinate appropriate outreach and marketing activities as assigned; maintain confidentiality in communicating sensitive information and in handling confidential materials; provide and/or supervise entry and retrieval of appropriate data, including invoices/payments; assist the Vice President with all clerical office matters; maintain Academic Affairs calendar, as instructed, make appointments and arrange meetings; arrange travel and reservations; communicate with Division heads to ascertain and to disseminate pertinent information and to follow-up on on-going projects; assist the office by serving as the Receptionist in an attempt to control the increased amount of traffic in the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs; maintain business, personal and confidential files for Academic Affairs; provide for annual evaluations of all personnel under the supervision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs by providing forms and assisting with coordination of scheduling for employee evaluations; create work orders for physical plant to support student activities; perform general office work, including filing, answering phones, providing front-end customer service to walk-in students and staff; perform other related duties as assigned.
