CARES Act – Additional Information & Reports

In accordance with Section 18004 (e) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) Texas College acknowledges the following:

The institution has signed and returned to the Department of Education a Certification and Agreement form which ensures that Texas College intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
The total amount of funds that Texas College has received from the Department Education to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students is $5,333,176.00.
As of March 31, 2022, the total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants funds distributed to students is $4,656,886.00
The estimated total number of students at Texas College who were originally eligible to receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant is seven hundred sixty-seven (767).
As of March 31, 2022 approximately nine hundred three (903) students have been awarded an Emergency Financial Aid Grant.
The following criteria is used by Texas College to determine who is eligible to receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant:

Students must be enrolled at Texas College as of March 13, 2020, as a full-time student

Student must have experienced an unforeseen expense due to coronavirus.

Student must complete an Emergency Grant Aid Application (The completion of the application does not guarantee funding)

Note: Applications are processed on a “first come, first serve” basis and funds are disbursed until they are exhausted.
