Texas College Steer Football has “turned the corner” this season. Currently sitting at 6-2, the Steers continue to emerge victorious. The 2024 season began in Fayette, Missouri, to face off against the Central Methodist University Eagles at Davis Field, in which they secured a 26-15 season opening win. The Steers would remain undefeated after their week two game against Westgate Christian University with a big 54-3 win at home.
However, they evened out the win-loss column, dropping the next two games on the road against Ottawa University Arizona and Langston University. The Steers wouldn’t allow those losses to deter them, winning the following game against North American University (NAU) 25-21.

Texas College’s win against NAU initiated their current four-game win streak, defeating Arkansas Baptist College at Homecoming, followed by an overtime win on the road against Louisiana Christian University, and then another victory at home against Oklahoma Panhandle State University, which secured their sixth win on the season. This win is notable, as it cements their first above .500 season in recent memory. The Steers have three remaining games with plans to continue their win streak.
